- Q. How satisfied were you with your TEFL Trainer? A. The tutor (Luan) was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! She explained everything thoroughly and simply and answered all our questions. She was fun and had a sense of humor. She was professional and made sure that everyone stuck to social distancing.
- Q. How satisfied were you with the classroom element of the course? A. I learned a lot from the face-to-face. Our teacher was great. He was really helpful in giving feedback. I learned a lot from him just by observing how he teaches, how he explains. The activities were all great ideas to incorporate in my future classes. The teaching practice was the perfect way for me to have an experience. I was so nervous the first day but gained more confidence for the second day. I also learned from my fellow students on how they teach.
- Q. How satisfied were you with the webinar course? A. I was very pleased with the course, because it provided such a relaxed, respectful and supportive environment in which to collaborate with other TEFL course participants, in what had, up to that point, been a solitary pursuit. I was impressed with the range of skill in the group and how seriously everyone was taking their assignments. I also loved the fact that a couple of individuals in our group even had extensive teaching experience and were still learning new things in this webinar, which I thought was a great testament to its relevancy and practical use. The portion where we had to pretend to be TEFL learners studying Korean was brilliant and it allowed us to have more empathy for the challenges of learning a second or foreign language which is very different than our own.
- Q. How satisfied were you with your TEFL Trainer? A. I thought she did a great job, and was very thorough, allowing just the right time for break out groups and collaborative assignments. She was also generous with her time, after the 10 hour course was over, to receive questions and give advice. Her passion for the material and TEFL instruction was obvious and her past experience relevant, which she shared just enough of to bring the course to live and make it less abstract. I had feared it might be dry and tedious to sit for 10 hours through a webinar, but the time went by surprisingly quickly and it was pleasantly interesting and fun.
- Q. How satisfied were you with the webinar course? A. It was well-rounded and excellent and made me feel confident that, although teaching may seem daunting to begin with, it is entirely within my ability. Special thanks to Bapiwe for being a positive and encouraging presence!
- Q. How satisfied were you with your TEFL Trainer? A. Bapiwe was a fantastic teacher and explained everything very clearly. She made the 10 hour session fly by by making it so entertaining. Incredibly nice and helpful.
- Q. How satisfied were you with the webinar course? A. I felt there was a lot covered and I felt prepared to deliver my lesson at the end. It was helpful to see what other groups worked on at the end and gave inspiration for future lessons.
- Q. How satisfied were you with the classroom element of the course? A. The two-day course was an incredibly valuable use of time. It changed my whole perspective on teaching and provided me with so much knowledge. Not only that but Mark demonstrated the teaching theory through his teaching to us. He showed us how to teach rather than telling us and gave us many opportunities to practice, make mistakes and be corrected and encouraged in our own teachings. I thoroughly enjoyed it and couldn’t recommend it more.
- Q. How satisfied were you with your TEFL Trainer? A. Mark was honestly incredible. I feel as though I have learnt so much in such a short time and I accredit that to his teaching. He demonstrated the teaching theory we were learning within his own teaching which accentuated the method’s effectiveness. He provided helpful feedback on our individual teaching practice which is also appreciated. I feel the two days were incredibly valuable and cannot thank Mark enough.
